I finally broke down and decided to compile my own software. I’ve been avoiding this for a while for no particular reason. Maybe I just didn’t feel ready to cross that particular Rubicon. But the day has come, and the world will never be the same. In the process I upgraded my compiler, so my compiling process is not quite the same as what I read online.
